Neil Piland - CFO, Co-Owner

If it weren’t for Neil, Redemption Coffee wouldn’t exist. It was his desire to be involved in an awesome startup company, and the lives of good people, that fueled the actual organization of a company. He handled the incorporation and tax filings to get the business started, and he still manages the business accounting.

Neil spent 37 years as a software developer, but he’s always been a man of many interests. From exploring and hunting in the great outdoors to astronomy and photography, Neil loves a good challenge. He’s a reader and a life-long learner who went back to school recently to study enology and viticulture, and has brewed his own beer and wine at home over the years. Now his focus is on coffee.

“Besides a personal enjoyment of coffee, I’m excited for all of the possibilities a successful business offers to positively affect the lives of many people,” Neil said. “I see this coffee business as a challenge and an opportunity to learn and grow myself.”

A Topeka resident since 1980, Neil and his wife Becky have two grown sons and one grandchild. We’re glad they are here, and we’re glad to have them on our team!
